  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  • Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to make the sauce.
  • Brush the insides of the hamburger buns with melted butter, then toast them in the skillet or on the grill until golden brown.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading a tablespoon of sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
