- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 4 cups water
- 3 black tea bags
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
- Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the diced mangoes until smooth. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- In a large pitcher, combine the brewed tea, mango puree, honey (or agave syrup), and fresh lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
- Add the ice cubes to the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until chilled.
- Serve the mango iced tea over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.
