- 4 thick slices of sourdough bread
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup whole milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
- Fresh berries, for serving
- Powdered sugar, for garnish

Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Dip each slice of sourdough bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 10 seconds per side.
- Place the coated bread onto the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with fresh berries, a dusting of powdered sugar, and a generous drizzle of maple syrup.
